Abstract

A medium in communication is something that allows something (words, images, sounds) to pass from one source, usually a "sender", to another source, usually a "receiver". The most important mass media in terms of popularity and influence are television, radio, film, cassettes, newspapers, magazines and books. There is a greadeal of disagreement among experts on the role of mass media: what effect does the "message" carrywith a vehicle, and what influence does it have on thesociety in which they have mass media in general?
