Abstract

In this study, the effects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) on the treatment of depression were examined. CBT is considered an effective method to reduce the symptoms of depression and improve the overall quality of life of patients. Depression is a common and serious psychiatric condition that negatively affects an individual's emotional state, thinking and behavior. CBT is an effective psychotherapeutic approach that aims to resolve dysfunctional emotions, behaviors and cognitions through a targeted and systematic procedure. In this method, individuals are helped to restructure their negative thought patterns and beliefs to reach healthier ways of thinking. Research on the effectiveness of CBT in the treatment of depression shows that this method is also effective in physical health settings. In this context, it is recommended that future research should include studies examining the effects of CBT on different populations and severity levels of depression.
