Abstract

Posttraumatic Stress Disorder is a condition that involves direct or indirect exposure to an event that poses a threat to physical integrity and is characterized by symptoms of re-experiencing, avoidance and hyperarousal. The aim of this study is to examine post-traumatic stress disorder in individuals from the perspective of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. In this study, among the qualitative research designs, a review method was utilized and no fieldwork or scale studies were conducted. In this context, it is aimed to conduct a review on these two variables in order to better understand the effects of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy on posttraumatic stress disorder.; it was seen that more studies between psychological flexibility and posttraumatic stress disorder symptoms are needed.
