A Systematic Review on Anxiety Disorder and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in Children and Adolescents

The aim of this review study is to examine the use of cognitive-behavioural therapy in children and adolescents experiencing anxiety disorders. In this study, systematic review method was used, and no field study or any scale was used. Turkish English Academic database between 2008-2020, the abstract and the full text of the randomized controlled trials with relevant keywords were evaluated. Dec. Marched May, 2024 and May, 2024, this review study was conducted in two stages. As a result of the literature review, 9 studies were considered, consisting of 9 randomized controlled trials. conclusion of 9 studies, it was also found that anxiety disorder found in children and adolescents has a positive effect with cognitive behavioural therapy. The findings of this review have revealed the conclusion that cognitive behavioural therapy is an effective and positively progressing, effective method in children and adolescents with anxiety disorders.
