Abstract

The objective of this systematic review is to evaluate the effectiveness of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) interventions in patients experiencing Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The research employs a systematic review methodology, without conducting any field studies or using measurement tools. The studies reviewed were published between 1999 and 2015 and were conducted in both English and Turkish. This review was carried out in two phases from February 2024 to May 2024, and six different studies were analyzed. According to the results of these 6 studies, it was determined that CBT increases treatment adherence, accelerates the recovery process, and yields effective results in a short period. When CBT is applied to individuals with PTSD, a significant reduction in symptoms, visible improvements, and often complete resolution are observed. Therefore, CBT is considered an effective method in the treatment of PTSD.
